Strategies

  1. Set goals
  2. Evaluate and monitor, reflect on the success of your study strategies and use strategies that are working for you. (Stop using strategies that are NOT working for you!)
  3. Ask others about their strategies and try new strategies suggested by your friends.
  4. Regular schedule: Monitor sleep, exercise, eating, drinking (and time when you do those things).

  1. Flashcards
  2. Review old words
  3. Repeat in writing and speech

Vocabulary

  1. Review old words – in speech and writing.
  2. Make sentences that are meaningful to you.
  3. Mnemonics – rhyme, alliteration, rhythm, music, etc.
  4. Associations by image, function, opposite, classes of words, related words.
  5. Associate with context, guess by context.
  6. Little notebook for questions, vocabulary that you can carry with you.
